I look for value in finished work, and quality of the repair. I've used Pro-Handyman for perhaps 10+ years because they hire licensed professionals in each construction field for owners to have accessible for smaller construction/repair jobs. I have not been disappointed yet. This particular job required a licensed electrician - and Jay provided timeliness to the appointment, acknowledged giving me a 30 minute window call ahead to meet him to estimate/do the work. He took 3 hours to do a rewiring job - behind the drywall/in the attic, replace switches. Cost $400. Licensed electricians can charge anywhere from $50-$100 an hour depending on experience level, license type and complexity of the job. This does not include additional costs for parts or minimum trip fees. Jay also took care of a couple of small things for my clients, just to make them happy - busting out/replacing a corroded tub drain plug, removing light fixture broken bulb. Overall. Yes, he knows what he's doing. No question. If you have an electrical job you need done, Jay is the man for the job. You get what you pay for with this company - work done right the first time.
